To say that phans are excited about Phish’s upcoming thirteen-night residency at Madison Square Garden across July 21st through August 6th is an understatement. Phish’s Baker’s Dozen run has just gotten a little bit sweeter, with the announcement that Ben & Jerry’s will be rolling out a limited-edition ice cream flavor for the run. In addition to the already delicious Phish Food ice cream that Ben & Jerry’s regularly offers, in honor of their fellow Vermontians’ 13-night stand at MSG, the ice cream company has crafted a new flavor dubbed “Freezer Reprise,” which features “sweet cream ice cream with a vanilla glaze, chocolate donut swirl, chocolate donut pieces, and fudge fish.”Freezer Reprise will be available outside of MSG on the inaugural night of Baker’s Dozen on July 21st as well as the final night. To close out the run, on August 6th, the company will also be offering Freezer Reprise at a special webcast in their hometown of Burlington, VT, at Three Needs Taproom & Brewery. Ben & Jerry’s also teamed with the legendary artist Jim Pollock to create a limited edition t-shirt to commemorate the run and the new flavor, which will be available via the company’s website here as well as inside MSG at the WaterWheel Foundation during the run. You can check out the T-shirt and the commercial for Freezer Reprise below, and don’t forget to check out Live For Live Music’s Official Guide To Phish Baker’s Dozen Late Nights to see what’s going on around town each night after Phish hits MSG. The management of Kotoko has denied reports that a foreign coach, Thomas Muller is in the country and he is set to be named as Technical Director of the club. Some media reports have since Friday linked the coach, who was spotted with a board member of the club at the Kumasi Airport to Kotoko. But speaking in an interview with the club’s website, Communications Manager of the Kumasi giants, Kwaku Ahenkorah was emphatic that, the foreign trainer has nothing to do with Kotoko.“Those reports are far from the truth. We didn’t bring him and he’s also not here because of Kotoko. As far as we know, Dr. Kwaku Frimpong of Champion Divine Clinic brought him. They are business partners. Therefore reports about the coach coming to Kotoko should be ignored” said the club’s spokesman. However, the club’s management added that they have no such intention and that, those reports shouldn’t be given any attention.–Follow Joy Sports on Twitter: @Joy997FM.
